Lockdown Mates

The year 2020 brought unique challenges we could not have forseen. At first I felt a sense of creative paralysis, focused on keeping my family safe. Once the floodgates of creativity opened, I could not stop painting. A major source of returning my sense of balance has been the happy demeanor of my dog, who has rejoiced in my continuous presence during lockdown and quarantine. I took a selfie of the two of us sharing a sweet moment of calm affection. She brings out the best in me, and I wanted to reflect this bond in my painting.
