Oil on canvas, 36x48 / This work was painted in homage to Vincent Van Gogh who influenced me and millions of artists and art lovers since his early demise in 1890. The work depicts Van Gogh in his last days seated by his window and ceiling open to a "Starry Night"; surrounded by his legacy of art pondering "Why do I paint? No one likes what I do". His room at Arles at the back under the night sky is painted in cool colors in contrast to an imaginary warm candle lit room in the foreground.
