I was attending the Weekend of the Masters Workshop in 2012 when I was at an outside cafe where I saw Alexey Steele, he winked at me and I had a camera handy so I snapped a photo of him and his notorious and inspirational hat. It is too bad portrait painters don't have a way to paint his hardy laugh too.
