POV: what my phone sees when I read the news in 2020, a series
This is me 2020. It’s been tough to comprehend and process the extent of the events of this year. The losses have been immeasurable and overwhelming. I’ve never felt more heartbroken, terrified, depleted, confused, shocked, frustrated, humbled, furious, hopeless, defeated, and lonely. It’s been difficult to house all of these emotions. I’m constantly on the verge of tears. I’m struggling and I’m exhausted mentally, emotionally and physically. But learning to paint has been my saving grace and has kept me occupied. It has allowed me to express these feelings in a positive way and has given me a sense of accomplishment. I’m so thankful to have found this outlet and community during these strange and challenging times.
