A depiction of the interior of my studio, which was in an old barn at the time- with models being served tea and fruit during a break. The theme was inspired by a painting that I have often admired in the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, NY. That work of 1963, titled "Interlude" by John Koch also shows the artist in his studio in the act of painting a nude black woman while his wife serves her tea. So I took that theme and reinterpreted here.
