The Long and the Short of it

After the invited artists to the Laguna Plein Air Invitational turn in their paintings for the week and the intensity fades, many artists get together with our painting gear, beach towels and snacks and head down to Main Beach. We paint, play and enjoy each others company. This is my favorite part of the week! During this time, I paint the other painters when I can. This was my first year to participate in the Invitational and this was my favorite piece I painted, maybe just for the memory, joy and spontaneity of the oil sketch.
