This is a pencil drawing to commemorate the death of this massive , old growth White Pine tree that was snapped off by a windstorm. This grove of trees has been estimated to have sprouted around 1675 and I felt grief like I would for an elderly relative who had passed away. The only way to show the massive size of the tree, was to include a figure, so I made it a self-portrait.
