"Me at 53" is my first self-portrait after almost two decades, it shows me as others do not see me these days—without glasses or makeup, and with my hair loose. The look on my face shows a mix of emotions; concerned yet bored, intensely interested yet deeply indifferent, calm yet impatient… it describes my feelings concerning life and the state of the world.
