The Artist, Arthur Hammer, And His Dog

This painting was painted from life when Arthur was being a very fanciful, wonderfully prolific artist in 2006. One of his paintings is behind him in the image. He unfortunately passed away several years ago. For more than 30 years he was part of a very active artists' community in Long Island City, Queens, NY and was an inspiration to us all with his wit and devotion to art, and to his dog, Bucky, who is being held in his arms.
