The Provocateur

This was a studio self portrait done in response to the debate over the use of photographic references in producing art work. Vermeer has been an all-time favorite artist of mine and one of the earliest know artists to make use of projected images in his paintings. The references are readily apparent in the image along with some of my usual studio clutter.
