I was inspired by some beautiful gold butterfly hair clips that reminded me of childhood. In my work I sometimes like to play with the tension and feelings surrounding adulthood and childhood. I like to use bright and vivid colors to create a youthful feeling while simultaneously expressing maturity through the pose and expression of the figure.
