Self-Portrait by Sarah Kaiser-Amaral

My self-portrait was painted on a rotunda (round) canvas. The paint was applied directly at the beginning, and the underpainting has some textural strokes. Some of them were scraped and sanded down to create unique marks. Then I glazed color on top to create luminous skin tones. There is also a bit of collage buried in the underpainting. I think I captured a contemplative and meloncholy side of myself.
