My Mother’s Eyes

I had the honor as a professional artist to paint my artist mother’s portrait. But as I began painting, I saw her eyes looking at me as I had seen them all my life- not as the legendary artist, Dot Courson, but as my mother who loves me. So I painted “My Mother’s Eyes.” Oil on linen painted Ala Prima from life.
